I have 65 200 automatic I6 and when I drive on the freeway there is a really bad vibration that my car makes. If I shift the car into neutral the vibration goes away completely. Any suggestions as to what the problem is and how to go about fixing it?

Transmission, driveshaft and/or differential come to mind.
Need more info. You have to figure out where it's coming from.
You could start with checking/replacing the fluids, and/or go to a tranny shop and have them take it for a test drive/service.

I had a terrible vibration at exactly 63 MPH for several years- resolved after I replaced worn out U-joints and had the driveshaft "rebalanced."

Well, if you call taking the shaft into the local shop and asking them to balance it, then they frown and tell you that the shaft is a piece of *%$#@%^& and then they fabricate a new once from aluminum tube mated to the orignal ends, then I gues that is called "rebalancing." Actually, come to think of it, it did rebalance my checkbook a little ($220).

But now my car is fine on the freeway - well worth it.

Good Luck!

Worn bushing in the Transmission tailshaft extension housing where the drive shaft is inserted?
Just a possibility and a problem I have had on high mileage cars.
