We'll have to have a little exhaust shoot out...mine should be done Monday, so I should be able to provide sounds of my exhaust system and stuff.

If we get into an exhaust war, Im in!!! I just gotta figure out how to record it, lol. Any suggestions? We have a digi cam with the video option, but Im not sure about sound. Ill just say that mine doesnt sound like any Ive heard yet, not even Dan's when I heard it a year ago, its alot deeper it seems, but who knows. Once I get the tranny fixed I will try to record it

66Sprint6,
Actualy the sound is better in person than via the camera and recording the sound, it sounds a little tinney? It really sounds better than recorded, after you record your's you'll know what I mean!

Not tinney, it just seems like its not as deep or mellow, I guess. Its hard to describe, but I bet it will be different when I record it. All I know is that I have never heard another on file or even in person that sounds like mine. It would be nice to hear some others!
Matt

Roo,

Your mustang doesn't sound anything like that in person. It's definitely mMmuch LOUDER and fuller??( is that a good description?).

dyno anytime soon? :D

I tried getting a recording of my car yesterday with my friens digi-cam, and it really sucked....i didnt want to post anything that sounded like a massive static attack.....He has a laptop so were gonna get a microphone and try a recorking off the laptop......i run straight pipe and most of u know what that sounds like (i guess)....

some plug-in microphone would be a good idea.

On recording exhaust sounds, you´re dealing with huge sound pressure levels, so try several different distances and angles for the mic. I highly recommend wind jammers on the mic as well, and take care to keep the recording device (be it a laptop, digicam or tape recorder) away from any vibrations during recording.

lol, could be. Reason I got that sub is cause the Flows made my 8s obsolete. I couldnt hear them at all. I wish there was a way to record what the car REALLY sounds like. That would be kool.
