Hi Guys,
I bought a 66 Mustang along with it came an extra engine, I am trying to figure out what it is, what it is from and how much is it worth, I think it is a truck engine?
The head casting is a C6DE 6080 B
The Block casting is a C6DE 6015 A
It has a oil bath air cleaner that mounts on the drivers side with a crossover tube, there is a part # on the crossover tube C6TE 9500 R
It has a double diaphram fuel pump the old style that has a vacuum pump and fuel pump and rebuildable with screws holding the ends on.
It has a single diaphram Dizzy.
I am really curious of what it came out of.
Thanks Fred

Guys I am still confused how can I determine what engine I have 170/200/240 the engine has an oil bath air filter C6TE 9600R and the oil pan has a rear drain rather than side also it looks like the capacity is larger than my 200 in my 68 mustang.
Thanks Fred

Sounds like an industrial job to me, if it has an oil bath air cleaner or it's atleast out of a truck. I think oil bath air cleaners were an option.

240s are big block 6s. A 240 would have a seperate intake manifold.

C6DE would be a 1966 Falcon engine.

Fred,
I would LOVE to fool with a 262! Unfortunately I have nothing to put it in & with the amount of cars, trucks & engines currently sitting around the house the wife would KILL me.... (I would love to have a '59-64 F100 4x4 with a 262/4spd... "Oh hi dear, NOOOOO, I'm not talking about geting another truck....." :D ).
Actually, if anyone has some really good pictures of a 262, especially the internals, I would love to be able to post them on my site.
Edwin

Edwin,
Actually, it's just a guy on another site I go to that has one for sale. I don't know anything about it other than it is for sale and I seemed to think you wanted one. I will stick with my 223 untill it gives out, then maybe consider a 240.
