what oil to run

Would it be optimistic to run full synthetic or a blend on a turbo set-up? Only be running 8 psi of boost and the motor is not a fresh rebuild, but will be replacing most all gaskets. Thank you.

i would run it before hand, that way any blockages will be cleared out and you won't get all that crap in the turbo
but i can't see any reason not to use Synth

Full Synthetic is fine. Full Dino oil is fine too.

I use a synthetic blend, it's better than dino oil, and cheaper than full synthetic.

After reading David Vizard's books, I make my own syn blend.

When you buy a blend for $2.50 a quart, how much is synthetic? 5%? 10%? 50%?

They never say - it can be 1% and you could legally market it as a blend.
