Well, as most of you know, a turbo motor is (soonish) going into the xa. But, the dilema i have atm is, the original old 250 is getting a bit on and starting to get a little tired so, 2 possibilities.
1) ride out the original motor (and put up with the constant ticking & the little blu puffs under a heavy foot) until the new one ready to go in, or
2) tidy up and throw my spare rebuilt carby xflow 250 in until the turbo motor fully ready
Bit of extra work but i really dont think the old 250 has much life left in her, still runs fine, starts 1st go, just tired so i figured i may aswell use the spare rebuilt xflow (gets it off my garage floor too) and bit of extra power and prob better fuel milage but have a question.
The new motor has a mechanical fuel pump with a return line to the tank, can this be blocked off or will a xflow carb run with just a std fuel pump with no return line? i cant see why not, to do with polution right?
