Sounds awesome.

Yeh I know, but its Australia day here so we have to wave the flag. Mind you you do have the chevy dohc six to play with. As another little bragging point, a few jeep sixes have been binned in favour of the Barra, its finding its way into all sorts of things. BTW there is a 'green top" for sale locally to me, $200. Green top is the factory LPG version. We also have trouble understanding your political system, seems to be all wrong! The Barra is a nice engine, BUT… where are we going to get parts for it here in the U.S.?
We would be at the mercy of you guy’s in down under.
This is why most of us would like to work with what we have right here.
True. An unsupported Aussie engine may be harder for me to own than, say, a 4.2 GMC Vortek, A Nissan, or even a BMW inline six of a decade ago or so. The Jeep also has a lot of followers and support here in the US. I could see myself scrounging one of those up, even though they have no Ford bloodlines. At least a search of junkyards will turn some up.This is why most of us would like to work with what we have right here.
Well, on that one point most of us will probably agree with you....We also have trouble understanding your political system, seems to be all wrong!
Hey no offense but you keep preaching something you don't even have either and you have direct access to them in down under. So don't fault us for trying to upgrade what we have readily available here in the US.You know what Im going to say! BARRA! A great effort by those guys.
Oh it has potential if you don't mind it being a chevy. Calvin from YouTube channel is pushing 43 psi to try and get to 1000hp.The GM 4.2 inline six was short lived. This is too bad. From what I read about it six months ago, It seems like it has potential. It’s a modern in-line that produces a decent amount of HP. And parts are probably reasonable.
Yeh I know, its my way of getting some recognition for what us "Convicts" have done. LOLHey no offense but you keep preaching something you don't even have either and you have direct access to them in down under. So don't fault us for trying to upgrade what we have readily available here in the US.
Anyone notice that the torque and horsepower was still climbing at 5600 rpm.Anyone notice the claimed power is below 6k (5600) rpm?
At that rate of climb, I would need to trade my parka for a parachute!Anyone notice that the horsepower was still climbing at 5600 rpm.
Yes but it wasn’t Keith Newcomer talking.Did anyone notice that he said they added an additional degree of timing advance with every pound of boost on the jeep vid.
