The Comp 903 spring will have a 111 lb seat pressure at 1.592" and 234 lbs open at .420" valve lift.Comp cams 903 spring would work well but comp does not have a retainer for them. I plan on using the springs listed above that I measured for now. Again thanks for all the replies.
Mopar changed the valve springs and retainers starting in 2001. My apologies for the misinformation. The 1990 to 2000 springs and retainers will fit.I tested the two beehive retainers, unfortunately both don't properly fit with the standard 7° locks and reduce the installed height drastically.
I just got the right beehive springs (Melling VS-1282), they do fit perfectly onto the cylinder head. The top part of the spring has a slightly greater inner diameter than the Enginetech ERV2498, so the Mopar 4781090AA retainer and Enginetech VSR705 retainer fit a bit loose. I'm still waiting on the 4483745 retainer to see if this one sits tighter on the spring top.Mopar changed the valve springs and retainers starting in 2001. My apologies for the misinformation. I have updated my previous po
interestingIt looks like I opened a can of worms. I actually measured my installed height and it is 1.592. I do not plan on cutting the head for a greater installed height. Yes, I could use a +50 retainer if available. I appreciate all the responses. The problem is getting the springs, retainers and keepers all from the same company. The part numbers exist but the items are not available. comp cams 903 spring would work well but comp does not have a retainer for them.
