Can i run a turbo setup with my 32/36 progressive carb from langdon if so would i need to do anymods to it like blowthru or could i run it stock?

Yes you can. Ak Miller, Spearco and various others used to use it as a draw through or blow through in the old 2.0 OHC, 2.6 V6 and 2.8 Cologne V6's found in Pintos and Mustangs and Capris. The are able to run very low boosts of 3 psi with no modifications, but the fuel supply is a bit of a concern as they are a European carb which never likes more than 3.5 psi fuel pressure. Over here, they ran return lines on all 32/36's from 1978 on wards, and its easy to run a blead back system to create a lean or rich setting in addition to the normal adjustments.

Waht you must do is grab a 5200 or factory Weber solid nitrophyl float, and boost reference the fuel pump using the method described by Mustangaroo, 54 Ford and Does10's. It's found in the 1980 Holley book. Then you can take it to 9 pounds as long as you boost reference the throttle body with 1/8 holes. It's detailed in the page on Turbos.

Its dead easy to do. The secondary is mechanical, and chimes in at 60% open throttle, so the 32/36 is head and shoulders above the 38 series in being able to run lean at part throttle, and rich at wide open throttle.

The only problem is that the carb REALLY becomes the bottleneck in the inlet tract. If you plan on running a low-boost setup, say 5psi, it won't be too big of a concern. If you want to run higher boost, say 10-12psi, with an intercooler to take advantage of a blow-through setup, then I would definitely look into a bigger carb to feed almost double the airflow requirement.

Ak Miller still alive? I don't know him just have heard about him on this board. He must have been very knogable. I love to hang around people like that and ask questions and learn.
