55 Customline 4 Dr, What Inline 6? Identification...

55 Ford Customline 4 Dr. Guy wants to trade a car for his. Looks pretty worth it, though Id prefer cash for this car.

Anyone know what size inline 6 this car would have? Pretty clean etc. 3 tree deal.

Could be a 215 or a 223. Not a clue how to differentiate them.
I'm moving this to the vintage Ford section, you're more likely to get an answer there

Judging by the year and location of the ignition coil, I'd say it's a 223.

Ha, people are so peculiar sometimes. First, this guy contacted regarding an ad for that 91 Mustang I have, and he asked if Id consider a trade. I asked what he had, and those pics came back.

I guess yeah, I was pretty interested.

So I wrote a list of questions, and he filled out about two of the questions, then said, sorry, no trades, its going on eBay, in the same email.

99 & 44/100's % sure it is a 223. Good engine.
