64 comet inline 200 wont start

Hey all, I am reaching out for some advice or help.

I have a 1064 mercury comet 202 with the inline 200 motor. The car was running perfect but then I ran out of gas.
I have checked everything. Plugs are good, wires are getting spark, points and condenser are new... Cleaned the carb. Fuel pump is working.

But the car still will not start....

Anyone ever had this problem.

thanks
Mike

how did you verify your pump was working, have a transparent filter between it and the carb?

I'd say junk got into something, either tank junk in your pump or filter, or stuff in your carb plugged the route when the level got low. Did you spray starter fluid or dribble some gas in the carb throat to see if it fires at all?

I concur. Try priming the carb like Invectivus said and if that does not get it let us know.
