With help from a Vintage Mustang Forum user we figured out why the Mustang was having trouble accelerating. I had no vacuum hose hooked up to the carburetor.
The reason I did not have a vacuum hose hooked up to the carburetor was because I did not have to do that on the old Holley 2bbl I had.
I connected the hose, reset the timing and took it out for a test spin.
It feels good to burn rubber again! I am now able to put the pedal to the floor and have no hesitation. Just like the old days! This is so wonderful. I can finally drive the Mustang.
I would like to thank everyone who helped me troubleshoot. You helped me eliminate possible problems, which made things much easier for me.
Thanks,
Justin
