Burned some rubber tonight in the Mustang...

With help from a Vintage Mustang Forum user we figured out why the Mustang was having trouble accelerating. I had no vacuum hose hooked up to the carburetor. The reason I did not have a vacuum hose hooked up to the carburetor was because I did not have to do that on the old Holley 2bbl I had.

I connected the hose, reset the timing and took it out for a test spin.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It feels good to burn rubber again! I am now able to put the pedal to the floor and have no hesitation. Just like the old days! This is so wonderful. I can finally drive the Mustang. :D

I would like to thank everyone who helped me troubleshoot. You helped me eliminate possible problems, which made things much easier for me.

Thanks,

Justin

Would you post a picture of where the vacuum hose connected up to the Carb? I'm assuming Holley/Webber Carb.

Thanks,
Greg

I do not have a picture of that. I can tell you that it is to the right of the fuel inlet. The vacuum port was bigger than the stock vacuum hose so I had to stretch the hose quite a bit to make it fit.
