Cable throttle setup?

Just wanted to know if anyone thinks this is doable----I went to the local pull-a-part this a.m. and I thought this looked pretty promising. It is the throttle pedal and cable setup from a 90's model escort...Of course it is for a tubular throttle body---but it looks like I could just use a carb throttle cabe and hook it up: yes, i know i have gone crazy with the pics,, and i can't seem to thumbnail 'em either---if you can go ahead.

since I dont have admin abilities I cant change but I can however tell you how to get them... all you have to do is when your at your photoshop thumbnail gallery, see the little check boxes under all the images? select the ones you want to thumbnailize (I made that up) and then goto the bottom and click the button that reads: Generate HTML and IMG code, and on that page there will be a bunch of crazy confusing stuff, all you have to do is highlight the box labeled "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards - recommended" and paste it here... if you dont understand anything pm me or something....

Thanx for the input, when I first started using the site, I did see some information on thumbnails...but since then couldn't find anything on it, I will try that next time..By the way I tried to download your weekend drags movie, but after 30 minutes and 3MB I just got tired...how many Mb is the movie??

Looks very usable. It even seems to have a kickdown lever.

It does have a kickdown and I even got the cable that goes with it. My only concern is the throttle travel before stop is only about 3" and I am not sure that is enough travel for my 5200 or 500...but can probably just bend a few things here and there to get the travel I need. I don't like the small pedal but that is easy enough to remedy.
