can you use a balancer from a different ford engine

I'm planning on changing my belt system over to serpentine,.. what other ford engine balancer will fit on a 250?

I dunno, but I'd be interested to! I was thinking about this last night. I'd probably start with a '90s 2.3l motor - I think there will be fewer problems finding a crank pulley and motor problems finding a water pump pulley, but that's just a guess.

I'm glad you thought of the water pump. To my knowledge no one makes one for counterclockwise rotation.
