I was taking my carb apart and rebuilding it today and was gonna paint it. well I sorta ran into a problem what happened was after all small object were disassembled I noticed that I must have belt this small thin piece of metal that has lots of little holes its about 1 inch long maybe like a 1.25 Im not sure but it has lil holes like a m16 or the inside of a glasspack/cherry bomb... well it kinda bent a lot when I tried to straighten it a lil it broke off theres no way of getting whats in there... is the carb trash now? :(

8) it sounds like you are decribing an emulsion tube, and if you are then yes the carb is messed up. reassemble the carb and use it as a core for a rebuilt one.

well then all I have to do is go to a junkyard and get a new bowl cover assy. right? or purchase one brand new? its like a part that was Made onto the bowl cover assy it cant be replaced or redone well unless if I had the proper tools which I dont:( alrighty then=)

8) yes you could find a good top to replace yours with. the emulsion tube is just a thin piece of tubing, drilled, and pressed in place. and as you found out can be very delicate.

everything was going soi nice to... I had about 20 ziploc baggies and had cutout and pasted the instructions for every part in a ziploc baggy and this happens... That damn lil round hex type thing that has some sorta connectio to it is why it bent cuz I was trying to get it off after I took the carb into pieces... Is there a way to paint a carb heatpaint gloss black?

HI
I don't know why you were taking it apart to paint it. You don't want paint inside anyway... the action of the air/fuel going into the carb would eat it off inside. You would just want to paint the outside. cover the top to keep paint out of the inside, and cover any of the vacuum holes and the Idel mixture screw hole ... remove linkages.
