ok this is for all the old schoolers. a guy that was in to racing was trying to tell me about how "back in the day" he and his buddys used to hop up motors by using some part of of a semi truck. (not the turbo) that had mutiple bungs or something any way they would drill and tap both manifolds and run exhaust to the intake and it work like some kinda home grown turbo. has any body heard of such a thing and how would it do any good if this was done. just didn't add up to me but the guy seams very honest and had good reputation so i don't think he made it up.

I'm definatly not old school (only 20yrs old) and I have no idea... it sounds like emissions controll from the 70's, but that makes cars slower :D. There is such a thing called intake reversion that bounces the intake charge from one cylinder to another, I dunno if that could be made with that system. Only other thing I can think of is heating of the manifold to help with fuel atomization? Hopefully someone else will see this and help me out. If you find out the answer I'd be really interested
