Just got my dui dizzy today. Dang the dui is one big dizzy but anyways I need some help installing it. People that have install it can u show me some pic of how u guys wired it all up and am not that good in the whole electric field yet and one more thing where is the pink resistor wire located a pic of the as well will help.

I don' have a photo, but its easy. Run a wire from the DUI (12 ga) through the firewall and right behind the gauge cluster. Unscrew the gauge cluster, don't forget to remove the speedometer cable from the back of the cluster. Reach your hand behind the cluster and simply unscrew the speedo cable from the cluster. Try to pull the gauge cluster out as far as you can. Right above or behind the key ignition is the "pink wire". Very little of the pink is exposed so look hard, also the wire has a resistor cloth like wrap around it. Unplug the pink wire and take the new wire from the DUI an stick it in the female connection that the pink wire came out of. That's it.

You can do several searches on the "pink wire" and you will find a lot of info. Also Mustang Monthly did a blurb about the DUI and the pink wire.
Good luck and if you have any further question just ask.

I wouldn't call removing the gauge cluster the easy installation.
I used the original hot wire that was going to my coil. I tested it with a voltmeter to ensure it was 12V only when the key is on.

I had purchased the power wire (and tach wire) for the DUI from Jegs which made it even easier. These wires come with the proper connector for the DUI side. Just run the connector to the "Bat" side, and splice the wire into the wire that was the hot wire on the coil. Make sure it is 12V when the key is on (and zero volts when key is off).

So that’s all I have to do is take the pink wire out and put the battery side on dui to were the pink wire belong sounds easy what about the whole alternator 12 v source thing I don’t need to worry about that and also the fuse relay do I really need to do all that.

I just ran a new wire from the DUI and stuck it in the Pink wire's place. The car starts at 12V then the relay (solenoid) on the side of the inner fender in the engine compartment switches to a different terminal that goes to the pink wire. The 12v runs to the pink wire and the pink wire is the resistor that drops it down to 6v. If you remove the pink wire than you have a continuous 12v.

I have read the post on running the wire directly from the DUI to the solenoid or battery. This is more of a guarantee that you have a constant 12v. Some of the guys do this for extra protection. I chose the cleanest an simplest way. Chose what ever you fill comfortable with.
