duraspark 2 problems

I just got a 69 bronco with the 170 I6. I am trying to swap the duraspark 2 in from classic inlines.
I installed the distributer but the truck has a centech wiring harness installed so the ignition switch is wired differently than the stock switch. Im having trouble figuring out which wire to cut from the ignition switch.
Should I get an adapter and install a factory ignition switch? or is there another easier way to wire the duraspark 2 to the centech harness?

Thanks
George

All you need to hook it up besides the wires coming off the coil is a switch power, meaning when the car is on, its on (The best would be only when the engine is running, but sometimes its easier to make it be on with the car)

nickstewartroc thanks for the reply.

I hooked it to the ignition wire that is on then the key is turned to the start position then through the resistor and followed the instructions that came from classic inlines. When the key was in the run position the resistor was getting real hot. Not sure what I did wrong?

Not sure about the resistor, I bypassed mine as that seemed to be what I found most people doing on here. I would contact Classic Inlines for help if they are telling you to use the resistor. Or is the resistor you're talking about have 4 connections going to it?

The resistor is from Classic Inlines. I just found the Centech Instructions on Toms Bronco Parts site and it looks like this harness is pre wired for the Duraspark. Going to try and finish it today.
