And spelling/grammar apparently aren't a priority, either.

I know I'm being picky, but for Pete's sake - when you can't spell "Caraburetor" and when that's what you do for a living, I get a bit leery of the content of what you're saying.
:?

lol, No kidding. I'm not sure if "beter" performance is a typo of "better" or "beater".

That entire email reads as if written by a 2nd grader. WOOOOOOOO!

His points about the H/W and a true Weber being different internally may even be true, but it is entirely lost in the BS (20% increase in torque! Sweet!) and the gramatical trainwreck that ensues.

I'm kepping an opem maind.

I've been intrigued by the idea of the counterclockwise shaft rotation on the DG being better for our applications. Plus the greater selection of air cleaners. The rest sounds like a lot of hoopla. In his defense, he apparently was texting this on his Blackberry, while on his way somewhere for "race support." That was on the 15th, so he may still be out "supporting."

How about those of you with the "Wideband" O2 sensors posting part numbers and prices for sensors and whatever gauges you use? I saw a couple of gauges at O'Reilly's for about $45, and the counter guy said they work with a regular old O2 sensors. Problem is, they're just lights, with no numerical readings.

Contacted Redline about Carb Base & Holddown stud. This is the reply:

Hey Tony,

You think that guy at Redline was trying to sell you a Redline carb? Mighty suspect if so, don't you think?

My gauge was made by Dell. It has a few other features, too.
Did you ever get your JAW to work?

Have yet to re-try it since the first day. Been focused on fuel tank replacement and stuff.

Now I only have one project higher on the list that tuning, and that is windsheild replacement ;)

So maybe this coming weekend.

I'm pretty sure that all of the oil I was burning due to the bad turbine oil seal was going to screw up any reading I got anyway. I've since rebuilt the turbo (btw, the easiest thing ever!) and don't seem to be burning oil at all like I was (altho a little blue smoke now and then).

So I am hopeful that I will get some useful data out of it.
