I'm sick of it...going back to the 1bbl setup

I'm so ****ing tired of this crap. The first 2bbl setup I had worked fine. Then that carb had to be replaced. I bought a new one last year and everything went downhill from there. I just picked my car up from the garage. Its running better, I can spin the tires from a standstill, but it still hesitates. The whole setup is just bad. It's like I'm trying to fit puzzle pieces together, and each piece is from a different set. I'm just going to go back to the 1bbl setup and drive the damn car. I don't like to speed anyway. I need to order a new 1bbl carb...who do I order from? Pony Carbs (or something like that)?

Sorry, I'm just really peeved off right now.

I'll just have to work on a better setup, but for now, I just want to drive the car!

Thanks

If you're looking for a one barrel and presumably the autolite1100 i would go to ponycarbs. they were pretty good with the whole process and got the carb to me fairly fast. i'm more please with the actual product more than any other aspect of their program (which I believe it most critical component to any business - the product).

Good Luck and stay patient!!

Nope, not going to sell it. I just need to compile a better strategy. I'm a little more cooled off today. I don't know if I should go back to the 1bbl setup for now or not.

Dude,

What type of two barrel do you have? I'm sure someone on this board has experienced and resolved the same or a similar problem.

I know they are ready willing and able to help you resolve yours. Don't give up just yet.

Hey I have a 1978 200 inline 6 with a carter RBS carb and it works great. The carter RBS carb came from the 250's. I have tryed many carb setups and this on please me the most.

Justin, why don't you go to the holley 7448-350 carb.

Bullet-proof and problem free. Put a 59 main jet in it & bolt it on and drive.

Best of luck, William
