How much of a difference would it make anyway? I figure since I already have a stock manifold I coudl use it and maybe make a header later on. Hopefully everything I ordered will look and work good. I'm still looking for a carb hat though. I cant wait!

only problem with them was the price... I ended up ordering one and it shoudl be here within a week. along with EVERYTHING else

A piece of 5" exhaust pipe works well. Cut a piece 3" long and weld a plate over one end, and a tube on the side for air to come in.

I used a stainless sugar container from my local warehouse and brazed a short peice of 50ml stainless into the side Cost me $3US for the jar but took a while to find one the right size Then i cut a gasket out of thick cork I will be turning the key for the first time in a couple of days so will let you know if it works

I ended up buying one made by spectre, it was only 65 bucks though and its polished.

Any pics?

Isn't that the same one they are talking about over there at turbomustangs forum? Linc, you know the one...anyways what they are saying, "it no makey too good." That's from what I have read, so keep the boost low for now Tommy.

Never saw that. Thanks for posting the link. It doesn't look like such a bad piece.

yea I figured I would give it a shot... its REALLY thick... I was expecting junk from the sounds of turbo mustangs then some were talking about how most people are stuck on the Extreme Velocity ones but I figured for the cost I Would give it a shot. Overall I would definately say it seems like it would hold up. running my hand on the in and outside there arent any noticable low spots. The only problem I found was there were some casting piece that werent flush with the inside of it so I took a screwdriver and popped em out, I will make a quick run over it with a file and be done with it. ummm pics... lemme go take some real quick and upload them.

Im hoping the bottom doesnt drop too low or something and run into the valve cover or something... I havent set it on yet so we'll see.

Here you can see the insides and how it was a few pieces put together... it scared me at first but overall it doesnt seem to bad, it it VERY sturdy and is thicker than the one I ran previously.

Not the prettiest thing on the inside but still looks pretty good, again you can see how it was put together.

here is the part I was talking about with the piece sticking up, this is after I got the larger piece out, it only took a minute tops and Ill probably spend another 2 minutes with a file grinding it down

The hat is about 3/16 of an inch thick I still think it will hold more boost than I could throw at it.

The chrome loking finish is faily shiney, though there is some minor pitting, however it isnt going on a show car but it wouldnt discoutrage me from using it.

The turbomustangs link is actually where I found out about it. well actually it was linked from another forum where somone said they bought one and recommended it to me. We'll see how it holds under boost as soon as the new turbo goes on :D
