Oil Slinger

Hi
Put the oil slinger on the crank over the double roller chain and seems to fit way too tight>If I turn the engine over the chain rubs on the slinger.Is this because the double roller chain is a little wider?

The slinger should have a saucer shape to it, you need to put the slinger on with the bottom of the saucer facing the timing chain gear. Doing that will enable the slinger to butt up to the gear and taper away from the chain.
