The new DUI dizzy

R&D has been very busy.

I have a lot on my plate, but we plan to dyno the dizzy's next week. As well as the various headers and rocker assemblies. No more guessing.

hey mike have you checked into having a cam sensor made? on the 2.3L's and some GM's I think they have what is like a dummy shaft for the dizzy with a small plug on the top to hook up to your ignition (for DIS systems) I was wanting to go that route since I am running PS, AC, and maybe an onboard aircompressor and need some room.....plus turbo plumbing.

for ur air compressor ive heard of guys using old ford AC compressors as air sompressors but i have no idea how they do it

The '65 and up 200s used the same shaft diameter as later blocks, as far as I know.

The advantages of the DUI? It uses a one-wire installation, can use standard HEI parts (coil, etc) and is easily adjustable. It's also curved for the 200 out of the box.
That may all be true but quessing from his sig line which says 63&1/2 170 i thought he might not have a 65 and later 200--But you never know.

Ahh, another blow to my reading comprehension and attention to detail! His setup might be the pinnacle of ignition setups without block or distributor shaft modification. He has done some fairly involved modifications though; I have all faith in him overcoming any problems.

Anyone know the exact specs on the early shaft diameters? And if the housing diameter is different as well, what it is? I'm pretty sure I can get them made up if I supply the correct info. All it would require is a tad bit of machining.

I'm looking forward to the dyno results, as the manufacturer claims they have seen gains of 5-10 ponnies with it. And on one occasion 20, however that was on a built big block. Were not sure what to expect on our sixes, but I'm hoping for similar results. Even if it doesn't gain as much, its still a great dizzy which is easy to install and maintain. And they come precurve for our sixes.

I'll let you know the results in a couple weeks.
