Hey all,
I've just brought home a D8 200 out of I guess a Fairmont, big log head and all that. Now way back in 1985 when I first bought my 66 'stang, the first thing I did was follow the Mustang Month;y article on how to put a 3.03 full sycro three speed in and get rid of the 2.77. I cant remember if the bell changed with the transmission or not - so will that set up bolt up? Somewhere in there I thought I read that Ford changed the bell housing bolt pattern. The performance six book isnt too clear or I've missed it.
Second, the oil pan is a different shape, with the main sump all the way astern and a bulge on the driver side under the #2 cylinder. Havent pulled it yet, but what is it for and will that cause any issues if I want to use the original pan?
Thanks
