Water Pump question,

Is their a premium water pump out there that will hold up bearing wise a little better than stock, I'm going on my third, pulling the 130 amp alternator with two belts now in less than 300 miles. Cooling is not a problem, bearings go out quickly, I am running the 2 groove on the pump which was smaller than stock and has to be spinning faster.

HI
Here's an idea....... add a idler pully just a little off center line of the water pump, So your not pulling hard down on the barring.. Might work to take the load off the barren.
Good luck

Find a shop that rebuilds them and have them install higher quality bearings.

Drive the monster alternator off the crank like most of he high draw stuff usually is.
