check the intake runner side of the valvecover. most leaks due to bad fit develop there.

You already have the holddown tabs to spread the load on the gasket flange?

the what on the what?

a assumed it was a bolt on project....what what what?

HAY CHAZ
The What on the What is little triangle tabs that go under the bolts to help spread out the prusher evenly along the rim of the cover.. Well they come in little triangle tabs of the longer ones you see on ChXXy's

tim, I can get theese at a parts store?

last time my valve cover was off, I saw I had a rubber gasket and didnt notice anything on botls...I will see this weekend then

but...do you guyslike it? not your avergae chrome cover....but not as good as Inliners

Chaz, I bought the longer style spreaders. Yes, you can get them at any Discount, Autozone, etc. You didnt see them on the original cover because the are a later development aftermarket part. THe spread the downward pressure from the hold down bolts out more evenly accross the cover edge.

I have yet to get my chrome cover to stop leaking. I leave the original one on for daily driving and just put the chrome one on for shows. The original is much heavier gauge and seals better even WITHOUT trimming for the intake runners.

Speaking of which, I thought the intake runners were mainly a problem on the Asssie/Argie heads...no?

I like it...I like anything chrome but I can't wait until Mike's finned alum. one is ready.

yep. iam going to discount tonight....looking for those...

jegs is too expensive unless cant find anywhere else

thnx

My Hi-Performance valve cover made somewhere probably West of Hawaii, leaked bad at the front left . Definitely poor forming/stamping. I had to use some sillycone to get it to seal.
