Hi,
First off, this website is great, it has really helped me decide what I should do with my car.
My question is, Which Carb should I get for my car? I have searched through the past posts and decided the 2 barrel carb, would be the best for me, but which one? Along with that I know how to get the adapter, but what about the air cleaner to put on top of it. Of coarse a chrome air cleaner would be my choice, and where to get that?
My car is a 66 mustang with the C4, with of the 200 I6
Thanks for the advise.

Welcome to Fordsix. run away before you get too into it... ;) ,

For a stock 200, either a Holley 2300 350 CFM or an Autolite 2100. Personally, I like the 2100s, but most people use the Holley. They are both good. The holley has arguably more potential since you can change the jets on it, but the holley requires a lot more tuning then the Autolite.

As far as air cleaner? any air cleaner for a Holley 4V or 2V carb will work for either the Holley or Autolite. Almost every Pep Boys or Autozone has one (the chrome ones that is).

Once again, welcome.

My plan for the engine would be to add headers, and full dual exhaust, and eventually change out the heads, so, the Holey 2300 would still be the best?

yes, the 2300 is a good carb for the 200 up to some serious mods, like cams, intake modifications, higher ratio rockers. But on the log head, even then, a 2300 is still a safe solid bet on carbs. The 2100 is a great carb, just doesn't offer as much flexibility with mods since you can't change the jets, you have to change carbs (or at least the internals).

Where would be the best place, to get the Carb. and to put it on the engine, is the stovebolt adapter or Clifford adapter better? Once putting the carb on does it need any fabrication or parts or is it a simple bolt on?
