Hi Folks,

I've got this header for my 200ci 66 Mustang. Does may somebody know which one it is? Hooker? Outlets are 2.5"

I allready repainted it and I hope that it will fit

Hi

Thats good news! They have been sitting for years after putting a V8 in a Mustang

Thanks

It looks similar to the Hooker header, if not the same. I know the Hooker has a join at the #4 cylinder, like your one.
To test fit it, simply find an exhaust manifold gasket and match it up. That'll save removing the starter, alternator, etc.

I have a Hooker Super Comp Header for my 200 sitting in the garage. It has 2.5" outlets. It looks extremely similar, but the flange is a little different and the tubing bends are little different. Close enough though, looks like a solid manifold. Should be pretty valuable.

I have a set just like the one you have. The person I got them from told me they were from Cifford. They look very similar to hookers but every set of hookers I've seen have a small badge welded to them.
I found out after I got them that do not work for a high mount starter so I bought a set from Mike.

I stripped and repainted mine. I'm going to sell them if anyone is interested.

i know its close to the starter ,, but they make a starter with the wire hooks to a tab at the back of the starter instad of a post so it dont hit the wire hookup

With mine it hit the body of the starter it wasn't even a close fit. There wasn't even a chance to persuade the pipe out of the way. I suppose I could have used one of those small high torque starters but I thought the money would be better spent on a nice new ceramic-coated header.

As mentioned, Hooker's have a tag welded on the front pipes. Hookers also have the Model # stamped on the manifold flange that should be either 6601 series which fit the 144/170/200 and the 6602 seies which fits the 250's unique requirements.

They have slight different bends/geometry.

HEre's a 250 with a set of 6602's and a set of 6601's to compare (note the HOOKER tags):

das sollte ein clifford sein so wie die jungs schon sagten
allerdings wird die bodenfreiheit mit dem monster wohl leiden
das teill brauch ganz schön platz im motorraum
wird sehr eng im 65/66er
viel spass beim einbau
net entmutigen lassen
kann nervig werden
gruss marcus

ich hab keine erfahrung mit dem clifford
hab mal nen verbauten hooker gesehen
