Okay guys I got the engine to run very briefly yesterday. Man it just purrrrrrrrrrddddd!!!!!
But as soon as the fuel in the carburator emptied, the engine stopped abruptly.
I disconnected the fuel line to the carburator and cranked the engine. I got some fuel - mostly a few spits but that's it. So, I swapped fuel lines from the fuel pump to the carb and it didn't change any.
So, my question is this - shouldn't I be getting a constant flow of fuel to the carburator from the fuel pump? I also noticed that the fuel line seemed to be under a lot of pressure. It hissed loudly when I disconnected the fuel line.
Also, I swapped out carburators. I went from a 2150 to my YF. Before I couldn't get the engine to idle smoothly at all with the 2150. I think I'll stick with the YF for now. I need to get the fuel delivary issue resolved before upgrading the induction system.
Dispite this small setback...I'm a VERY happy camper. Man, that engine sounded sooooo smoooothhhhh. And I thought my 351M sounded good.
