bores rusting?

gidday, ive noticed the bores of my motor have rusted abit.. been sitting with its head off so i guess its due to lack of oil, etc

what shall i do? you cant just clean it off with steel wool can you?

any advice?

If it's noly surface rust, some motor oil, a scotchbrite pad, or some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper should clean it up.

right... its normal apparently.. no point in even cleaning it off

once she turns over itll clean itself

It won't hurt to lightly scuff it with a grey Scotchbrite (see the panelbeaters' supplies places), and light oil. Wipe clean with a paper towel wet in oil, and leave clean oil laying thin on the surface just before putting the top on.
