Fan Clutch/Radiator Spacing

What would be considered enough? My car had AC originally so it may have the heavy duty radiator? I've tried several clutches and the best I can get is 1/8" between clutch and radiator which seems crazy to me. One flez of the frame and LUNCHTIME!!

I'd think that if your frame flexes that much in that direction, you have other things to worry about

Good point! I looked over on some of the other forums and its not uncommon to have 1/4" or less spacing in between the two. The big thing is to watch the fan blades because if it moves that far on the inner diameters.... The blades will be digging in! I guess I'll give it a try. Hayden part#2710, part #2711 mounts the fan at 1.40" vs 1.75" on the 2710. That is from the flange surface to fan mount surface.
