i would like to add nitrous to my 94 300 efi f150.i was just woundering if my truck can handle the added horsepower and tourque.also any suggestons on a brand or a kit for nitrous

The 300 (or any other similarly low-revving engine) may not be the best engine to which to add spray.

A 50 HP shot added to a 302 with a HP peak at about 4500 RPM adds about 58 ft-lbs of torque at that RPM. On a 300 with a 3500 RPM peak it adds more like 75 ft-lbs. Torque is roughly equivalent to BMEP (brake mean effective pressure) so for the same HP gain you're putting proportionally more stress on the engine with spray when you use a low revving 300. There's a reason that spray is popular with the mega-rev ricers, it puts proportionally less stress on a high revving engine.

That's not to say that the 300 is weak. It has a very strong bottom end, except for the cast pistons which probably won't stand up to the giggle gas very well. If you want to build an engine to run the stuff that is easily done by simply switching to hypereutectics but I wouldn't count on a dead stock engine living a long and happy life on the stuff.

Of course, I take a pretty dim view of nitrous anyway. I've seen too many intake manifolds launched skywards and there's always the guy who blew up his house because he forgot to switch the bottle warmer off

BTW if you have a M5OD tranny, nitrous will turn it into a pretzel in very short order.

so what can i add to make more hp besides the throttle body spacer, cold air intake, and exhaust that i all ready have . i want to beat my friend 4 banger s-10 in a drag race

Let him win that, then challenge him to a tug of war or tractor pull ;)
Besides is the s-10 that much faster?

I had the same problem well except my friend has a camaro with a 305 i got him off the line everytime but not in the long run so i took my head off ported and polished it put sbc valves and whent with a 95 truck with a 302s throttle body and well had to bore the intake a few mm and then had the computer tuned and then i was able to beat him almost everytime.
