No Juice

I am about to my last nerve. I thought that I understood a cars electric system. I have a 1982 Ford Fairmont Futura that I have not had a lick of trouble with in 4 years. It is all stock. I have a full charge on the battery. The electric gets to the battery side of what I call the ignition relay(the 1st place that the positive cable goes to), which is brand new. I get nothing from there on. No Dome, No Dash, Nothing to the Key, Nothing at all. I have replaced the ignition switch, battery cables ground and pos., and the ignition relay. What the heck could it be.

I'm not familiar with your particular car but it sounds like a fuse or fusible link. Often these look like just another wire.

On my 81 F-150 there were 2 or 3 wires off that terminal other than the battery wire. IIRC one was for the headlights, one to the alternator/regulator, and the other went to the fuse block and key. They were all fusible link wires. The fusible part was about a foot long then there was a sort of molded bulge where it turned back into regular wire. In mine it was that joint that went out. On the outside they all looked fine.

Should this be in the large yellow wire, or the smaller red w/ light blue wire that goes to the keyed ignition?

I dont have any manuals but a crappy truck one that new so I cant be of any help with wire colors
