Today was the day, the Stang gettin new tires, alignment, sorta fresh motor, the drive from the shop to home, it ran a little hot, around 210, took gas really good, it was fun though.
The fist thing I did was order a new 3 row radiator to get that out of the way, I then looked at the air cleaner set up and it may have been sucking more air than it needs and the hood clearence is not there, rubbing when I get on it.
So, what I have is a couple of set ups that I can put together and make a top out of 1/8 alluminum so it's flat and it seals on the carb, adjusted the idle screw out 1/2 turn and hopefully that will help a little bit.
Next, I set the timing back a little, ok, first off I'm kinda old skool on that I've always set timing by the "sound", I know, I know, do it the right way, but hey after that it started rught up on the first crank!.
Aside from all that, it handled good, it'd better with all new suspension,
kinda sounds like crap, maybe a leak somewhere.
By the way, it's a 250 in a '66 Mustang.
Oh it was fun, kinda like getting your first car.
