I had a problem with my car acting similar to yours (the stalling part). Turned out to be the ignition switch. You could not on purpose make it act up. It defied logic. I say try bypassing the ignition switch, with a rigged toggle switch. Of course don't leave it on when the engine is not running. This thread has gotten pretty long. If this has been suggested, forget it.
