I know this is a newbie question - but cut an EFI guy some slack...

Needs to be rebuilt, and I need to know what kit to get :)

Thanks.

Autolite/ Motorcraft 1100 body without it's automatic choke assembly. With the double diaphram it should be for an automatic transmission

just ask for a rebuild kit for an autolite 1100/1101.

there were two different needle valve assemblies on those carbs, but the air horn gasket, spark control valve, acc. pump diaphragm fit both types and its subtypes.

motorcraft, hygrade and GP-sorensen offer generic kits and come with parts for both 1100 and 1101, covering both auto and stick versions.

however, "'65-'68 mustang 200ci" works most of the time for the guy behind the counter.

Should the parts monkey dare to inquire about the carb's ID tag (which your carb lacks, a common state after all these years), just tell 'em:

C50F E
B 5GA

that should do nicely.

ok, I have to ask...

what's with the SpaceShipOne labelled component in the background?

Ha ha, shhh. All I can say is that I work in Mojave, in Aerospace.

And my boss is nice enough to let me keep the car + all my tools in our shop.

My Job is very Interesting :)

I am one of 4 engineers at a small Aerospace company. We design and build liquid fueled rocket engines and the vehicles that use them.
