1967 200 inline 6 cylinder

Hello, I'm new here!
My son has a 1967 Mustang with a 200 inline 6 cylinder.
Last Saturday night he broke 2 connecting rods. :bang:
I found someone that has connecting rods for a 1970
Maverick 200 inline 6 cylinder with C3OE stamped on the
connecting rods, but I'm not sure if they will work with
my son's 1967 200.
Anyone know? Or if they won't, does anyone
know where I can find connecting rods for it?
Thanks!

Those 70 rods will work ok.
My question is what caused the 67 rods to break???
If you go with the 70 rods i would have them reconditioned along with the installation of ARP rod bolts.
I would also invest in a new oil pump & check the rod journals on the crank.
This maybe the time for a complete rebuild.
67 forged rods rarely fail, it sounds like rod bolts.
Do you have a photo of the failed rods?
There is more to this failure than just rod failure.

Howdy Mighty Dad:

And welcome to the Forum. Now, That said, something is amiss. I'm with Bill on the rareness of rod failure. Please post a photo of the rods. And, a C3xx casting code would indicate a 1963 casting which could have been found in a very early 200 from the 1964 model year, but more likely from a 170. 170 and 200 rods are interchangeable so it's not surprising that they ended up in a 1970 Maverick. Is it possible that the casting code is D3xx?

Bill's advice is right on.

Again, welcome and keep the info coming.

Adios, David
