I am thinking of the comp 260 cam but the dual roller chain fron Classic Inlines.
Will I be going too much with the 264 classic inline cam for a slightly above stock rebuild, rebuilt C4 and stock rearend?
Also,di I need to replece anything else to use this cam?I have brand new parts but pretty much just a stock kit.
What is the big advantage of the dual roller chain?I have a brand new one in the rebuild kit but not dual roller>

Thanks

8) steve, the comp cams 260 high energy grind is a good grind to use on the street, but it is a bit old, and comp cams doesnt always have six cylinder cams in stock. the cams mike sells are newer technology, and they are ground by clay smith, on of the best cam grinders around. and since mike is geared towards inline sixes, cam availability is much better. the extra duration wont even be noticed by the engine as far as drivability goes, but it will notice the slight extra power.

Thanks
I was hoping to hear that, but what about the dual roller timing chain? What benefits do I get from that over a brand new single?

Thanks Again

It's multi-keyway. That means you're able to get the cam correctly degreed for optimal performance.

Had you considered reground cams as another option? With a new cam, you will almost certainly want the hardened distributor gear.

I think the roller chain just helps by reducing friction. It's also stronger.
