I just got word this morning, that I am now a WD (warehouse distributor) for Yella Terra, Romac, and JP Performance, all rolled into one account.
What this means, is instead of placing individual orders from each supplier, I can now combine orders to meet the minimums, and it will all ship in one crate (rather than three). Basically this means my shipping cost will be reduced, and the parts will be more readily available. Hence, I should be able to reduce my prices on the balancers, timing sets, and full roller rockers just a tad.
But here's the big advantage. Considering that I am now a WD distributor, they are more willing to work with us. Producing parts for applications which are not currently in production, such as timing sets and balancers for the US250. As per our conversation this morning, they are going to start on the US250 balancer and timing sets ASAP. So I should have them available in two or three months.
Another new product we were discussing, is a new full roller rocker assembly using forged rockers on a modified shaft. This would be similar to the stock assembly with pedestals, and would utalize the stock oiling system (no need to change lifters). I may also be able to specify increased rocker ratios (1.73). The new system will be pricey, but its another option for serious builders, which would be much stronger for applications using high boost and/or high lift. For those wondering, we will continue to stock the old style, full roller rockers. I'll post more info on the new rockers later on.
