new carb new problems

i finally got to puting my weber carb in today everthing was great started first try....untill i hit the gas the car just died.....its fine at idle does not shut off...it was getting late and im running straight headers so i havent had anytime to mess with tuning carb, dont want too bother neighbor's......i also noticed it was only shoting gas from one side of the barrel i thought it was both sides but i am unsure...any ideas before i mess with it tomorrow

The issue you describe with start is either a choke set too lean, or timing retarded. What is your timing set at, and where do you have your dizzy vacuum connected?

This carb is a progressive 2V, so only the primary has accel pump discharge.

Not sure what you mean by "fine idle." The Fast Idle Screw should be contacting the High Speed Idle Cam when the Choke is on. It should be able to pivot freely and not contact anything when the choke is off/open.

thanks i got it to run nowjust the carb was way out of tune way to lean.....it took me awhile since i was doing it by myself
