I think when Gene gets his carb cyphered out with the new mods to it... he will be into the 14's

Gene,

I can only think of 2 things that could be causing your oil to manifold problem. Either when rebuilding the engine, when turning the engine upside down oil seeped into the manifold. May have taken awhile to settle to the lowest point in the manifold under the carb.

Or, is it possible its cooked down fuel looking like oil? I don't see that you have any real issues. You're doing the right thing by cleaning it out and checking it later.

Good luck getting into the 14's. Its looking good.
