It should IF you have the same pulley setup as shown.

I had no problems at all with mine!

ok ill have to get one and check it out wont no more then have to get a diff pulley steup

Doug, you sure have a lot more clearance than I do. But if I change the pump and pulley with a later stlye, the v-grooves won't line up with my alt and A/C pulleys. Guess I will need to move them forward too, and that would be OK as I would have more clearance between them and the header. Plus a little more room for the trips too. Thanks for posting the pics.

Mike,

I'll get the pulley diameter for you if you still want it...I forgot!!

One other plus to going to the later style is that according to clifford, The later style waterpump setup is supposed to flow like 20% more IIRC.

Our6T6,

Got the part number for ya off the box today....Transdapt number 9338. Sorry I took so long on getting back with you also!!!! :?

Read through 26 messages and not one listed a SOURCE. If anyone has a SOURCE for chrome PLATERS or (better yet) CHROME PARTS for 200 inline six, please post.

the only thing i know of that is chrome for our 200s are the valve covers and the t-stat housing

Charles, as to specific chrome platers - well, you have the well-known "show chrome" firms like Paul's Chrome, and then plenty of smaller more local ones. It comes down to what you want, where you are prepared to go, and how much you'll pay willingly. Generally, good chrome is not cheap. And any chrome requires "maintenance"; the cheaper, the more frequent.

Due to these engines being a whole lot less poular than SBCs or SBFs, the aftermarket makers with their cheap flash chroming aren't to motivated to cater. If the orders were regular, one of the better platers might do an exchange on timing covers, oil pans, brackets and valve covers... But when you consider the proclivities of a lot of guys here, they'd rather spend the $200-something that Paul's would charge for a valve cover, on a carburetion upgrade first. 68Clunker had a lot of custom chrome work, IIRC, but it didn't stop him going to the dark side. :? (Proof that chrome doesn't make you go faster?)

Cheers, Adam.

Does anyone have a URL for Paul's Chrome?

Any URL's for 200 Six Chrome?

1. Can I use a newer style waterpump on my 65? Any weird modifications need to be made?
2. If I use a newer style waterpump can I use this housing?

You can use the newer style water pump on yours BUT you also will need the harmonic balancer (lower crankshaft pulley), waterpump pulley and the proper belts.

If you are running a fan, you will need a thinner fan spacer so your fan doesnt hit the radiator because the later water pump is approx 3/4" longer than the old style one.

Doug
